Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of reflective pedagogy in advancing integrative learning experiences in an urban community college. The researchers measured this effectiveness by looking at the change in the level of students’ learning. The findings were supported through quantitative data from several disciplines and qualitative data from a few disciplines depicting a clear improvement in students’ integrative learning abilities from interdisciplinary perspectives. Finally, the study provided an array of pedagogical approaches that not only illumined the course content for students, but also served as a means for them to link experience to discipline and bolstered their retention of knowledge.
