Abstract

Faculty members from two universities, located approximately 100 miles apart, formed an inter-institutional learning community on the subject of diversity and oppression in the higher educational classroom. The two sites included a large, urban research university and a public HBCU. Written by the co-facilitators from each campus, this article offers a record of the development, activities, and outcomes associated with the learning community. The authors close the article with practical recommendations for other institutions interested in similar groundbreaking work.
