Abstract

This article provides a review of the literature on coaching in higher education and how the practice connects with the past, present, and future of the field of educational development. As the field shifts it focus from individual faculty to organizational change, the authors highlight the potential of coaching to play an integrative role in advancing higher education as a community of teaching and learning.
