Abstract

This mixed-methods study examined the impact of the Child & Adult Advocacy Studies (CAASt) certificate program on trauma-informed competencies among multidisciplinary professionals. Quantitative findings from pre- and post-program surveys revealed significant improvements in trauma-informed self-efficacy, knowledge, beliefs, responses to problem behavior, and reactions to the work. Qualitative analysis identified themes of professional identity transformation, collective impact, and recognition of systemic opportunities. Participants reported increased adoption of trauma-informed practices, cultural alignment, and empowerment to influence organizational change. These findings support the effectiveness of CAASt in enhancing trauma-informed advocacy across human services systems.
