Abstract

This article rearticulates the definition of an FLC and recommendations about the structure and operation of FLCs. One of the recommendations notes that FLCs should be yearlong. The author reports on an FLC on the topic of “Ethics Across the Honors Curriculum” that met for only one semester and compares its outcomes to those of FLCs that met for a year in the same
FLC Program. In addition, the article includes the description of and details about that one-semester FLC. Recommendations are provided for designing, implementing, and facilitating FLCs that involve honors programs.
