Abstract

Because it combines learning a research process with gaining insights into how individual attitudes influence organizational diversity initiatives, conducting a culture audit is a typical assignment in courses focusing on diversity in organizations. This paper describes the dilemmas that can arise when students conduct such an audit as an action learning project. The lessons learned and the resulting recommendations are based on teaching diversity concepts, but they can be applied to other courses that involve students in action learning with real client systems.
