Abstract

Efforts to improve teaching and learning are enhanced by pedagogical knowledge and skills as well as abilities to bring about change at the individual and organizational levels. In the context of a pluralistic and democratic society, instructional improvements also require practices that support multicultural education. This article describes a doctoral seminar that attempts to embody these qualities for Preparing Future Faculty developers. In addition to describing the seminar's experiential learning model and work samples from participants, the authors critique this approach and suggest how it can be adapted for use at other institutions.
