Abstract

Despite growing use of problem-based learning (PBL) in undergraduate and professional education, little attention has been paid to PBL assessment in these venues. Given the importance of assessment in any course, the author conducted a review and analysis of faculty-developed PBL course portfolios to explore methods used to assess learning outcomes.
