Abstract

A workable teaching evaluation system is safe, explicit, and manageable within available resources; provides formative feed back; and satisfies accountability demands placed on the aca demic unit. In this article, the authors describe seven principles for developing a workable system and provide both a process and a decision matrix for groups interested in building a work able system for their own evaluation.
